Research Summary:

My research is primarily performance-based, focusing on the study and performance of organ literature. I have a particular interest in contemporary literature and often perform these composers in recital. As former Director of the Committee for New Music Competitions and Commissions for the American Guild of Organists, I have had a unique opportunity to promote new music composition and performance. As a result of my doctoral thesis, I continue to present the compositions of French organist Jeanne Demessieux in recital. I have also researched and performed compositions by women composers of the Romantic period, including Fanny Mendelssohn and Emily Stirling. My secondary area of research is the study and performance of carillon literature. I value collaborative performance and often perform with colleagues on organ, harpsichord, and piano.
