Dr. Craig Roland’s research interests include exploring ways that new technology can be used to support, enhance and even transform art education practices. He recently published a textbook titled The Art Teacher's Guide to the Internet (2005) through Davis Publications. He also writes a monthly technology column for SchoolArts Magazine. Some of Dr. Roland's other publications include a chapter titled "Distance Learning and Art Education" in the National Art Education Association (NAEA) publication New Technologies in Art Education, and a chapter titled "Using Journals to Promote Thinking in Preservice Art Teachers" in the NAEA's Anthology on Preservice Art Teacher Education.
