About the School of Art + Art History

The School of Art and Art History shares the College of Fine Arts' mission of serving as an educational, professional and cultural resource in the visual arts for the campus, community, state and region. Our undergraduate and graduate students contribute and benefit from that commitment. With thirteen different on campus undergraduate and graduate programs as well as an online Art Education graduate program, the school offers a diverse blend of educational opportunities with a strong commitment to excellence. The SA+AH has over fourty full time faculty, more than 400 undergraduate students and more than 150 graduate students.

The College of Fine Arts' School of Art and Art History is an accredited institutional member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design.

The quality of teaching, research and creative endeavors continue to grow steadily in the School of Art and Art History. Our faculty and students are engaged in exceptional research, teaching, and service in the arts. This builds on our strong tradition with an engagement in contemporary issues and practice.
